Continue to spread the Terry fox message of hope that inspired generations.
IF PEOPLE AREN'T SAYING YOU CAN'T, THEN YOU AREN'T PUSHING BOUNDARIES FAR ENOUGH
what started in 2014 as a final highschool project for a 16-year-old akshay grover, raising $14,000 for childhood cancer, the event quickly turned into a small movement of biannual runs with each successive endeavor leading to a larger team and goal. from these humble beginnings, grover has aimed to one up himself each time with full confidence from his team beside him.
In 2016, the 4-man team known as the White House Runners ran from Montreal to Washington, DC, again raising 14,000$ for the Terry Fox Foundation. a short documentary was filmed throughout, providing a candid and raw depiction of the journey featuring diverse landscapes from the peaceful hills of the Ausable Chasm to the bustling city of Baltimore.
as of 2017, the team rebranded to The Montreal Runners, a capable and motivated group composed of 6 montreal-based students.
THe idea remained the same: use running for something greater than ourselves, the fight vs cancer.
For summer 2018, we plan to undertake our most challenging pursuit yet in an effort to raise funds and awareness for the Terry Fox Foundation.
